Kasama City unveils ICT-based monitoring experiment at kindergartens ~ Local government leads the way, aiming for "zero children left behind"! ~
Focus Systems Corporation(Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mori Keiichi; hereinafter referred to as "Focus Systems") and Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture (Mayor: Yamaguchi Nobuki; hereinafter referred to as "Kasama City") have begun a demonstration experiment of a people monitoring service, including preventing children from being left behind, and will be publishing footage of the demonstration experiment being conducted at Sakura Kindergarten, a certified child care facility run by the Sakura Gakuen Educational Corporation.
In this field trial, we will verify the usefulness of the "cotchi cotchi™*¹" application, which prevents children from being left behind during off-site activities, and explore expanding the scope of use cases, such as keeping an eye on children who sneak out of the nursery or tend to leave their seats.

If they move away from their teacher by a certain distance, an alert notification is sent to their smartphone or smartwatch, preventing children from being left behind.
*"cotchi cotchi" is eligible for the government subsidy "Costs for the introduction of equipment that contributes to safety measures, such as child monitoring services that utilize ICT (systems that utilize GPS and Bluetooth, etc.)"*³.
