Basic Policy on Elimination of Antisocial Forces
1. Basic Approach toward Elimination of Antisocial Forces
Based on the government policy, "Guidelines for Companies to Prevent Damage from Anti-Social Forces," our company strongly recognizes its social responsibility and has established the following basic policy to prevent involvement of anti-social forces in business activities and damage caused by such forces, and to thoroughly implement compliance management. (1) In response to unreasonable demands from anti-social forces, the organization will take action to ensure the safety of its officers and employees who are dealing with such demands.
(2) In dealing with anti-social forces, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with external expert organizations such as the police, the Center for the Promotion of the Elimination of Violence, and lawyers.
(3) We will sever all ties with antisocial forces, including business relationships.
(4) We will resolutely reject any unreasonable demands made by antisocial forces and take legal action from both civil and criminal perspectives.
(5) Even if the unreasonable demands from antisocial forces are based on business misconduct or employee misconduct, we will not engage in any under-the-table deals or provide any funds to conceal the facts.
2. Development Progress of Activities Geared toward Elimination of Antisocial Forces
From the perspective of preventing involvement of anti-social forces in business activities and preventing damage caused by such forces, we have stipulated provisions regarding interactions with anti-social forces in our employee employment regulations and are working on this issue throughout the organization.
(1) Status of the department in charge and the person responsible for preventing unreasonable demands The General Affairs Department is designated as the department in charge, and the person responsible for preventing unreasonable demands will take the lead in consulting with the relevant departments on a case-by-case basis to take action.
(2) Collaboration with external expert organizations We collaborate with external expert organizations such as the local police station and our legal counsel.
(3) Status of collection and management of information on anti-social forces The person in charge of preventing unreasonable demands is responsible for collecting and managing information on anti-social forces from external expert organizations such as the Center for the Promotion of the Elimination of Violence.
(4) Development of response manuals and implementation of training activities We are working to develop manuals as needed and are making efforts to raise awareness through training and other means.
