Background

What was the process that led you to consider introducing it?

Kozakura Aijien has a capacity of 180 children, with 35 children per class, but there has never been a single incident of a child being left behind during off-site care. The school has earned a certain level of trust by informing parents of safety measures. In addition to these traditional efforts, the school thought that implementing measures to prevent children being left behind during off-site care would provide parents with an even greater sense of security when leaving their children at Kozakura Aijien.

On the other hand, it was difficult to find products that were suitable for a kindergarten like Kozakura Aijien, which has a large number of students per class.

The deciding factor for adoption

-Please tell us why you chose "cotchi cotchi" this time.

The biggest deciding factor in introducing "cotchi cotchi" was that it was a product that could be used at Kozakura Aijien, which has a class size of 35 students. In addition, while other companies' products that are suitable for classes of 35 students can sometimes be costly, "cotchi cotchi" was priced with subsidies in mind, which helped lower the barrier to introduction.

Introduction Results

Has there been any change since you started using it?

I feel that the introduction of "cotchi cotchi" has brought about a change in the nursery teachers' awareness of children being left behind.
Alerts are sent to both the smartphone and the smartwatch via sound and vibration, so there are no missed alerts, and I have naturally checked the number of children in the nursery more frequently than before the system was introduced.
In addition, measures to prevent children from being left behind in off-site childcare will hopefully provide peace of mind to parents who currently leave their children in our care, as well as parents who are considering leaving their children in our care in the future.

Comments on "cotchi cotchi"

Mami Asano, Director

I think the challenges will vary depending on the nursery school's environment, so I would like to have many nurseries use the product and hear their opinions so that we can develop it into an even better product.
We also hope that the introduction of "cotchi cotchi" will lead to an increase in the number of products that can be used in kindergartens with classes of 35 students.

I like the fact that "cotchi cotchi" allows you to easily check alerts on your smartwatch, so you don't have to use your hands. Also, since the name of the child is displayed when an alert occurs, I think it's good that multiple childcare workers can check the alerts by calling out to each other.
